Nigerian pop singer/producer Jesse Jagz has been featured on the US Billboard Charts in the ‘Next Big Sound 25’ category. The younger brother to rapper M.I occupies the ninth position on the chart.
According to Billboard.com, ‘Next Big Sound 25’ highlights the ‘fastest accelerating artists during the past week, across all major social music sites, statistically predicted to achieve future success, as measured by next big sound’. Jesse Jagz recently released his ‘Las Gidi Grinding’ single off his forthcoming album which is still untitled.
Other Nigerian artistes that have recently been listed on the ‘Next Big Sound’ include D’banj and Darey.
‘It’s more or less an incentive to work harder. It shows that people out there appreciate his music. We try as much as possible to spread our music to strategic places‘, a spokesperson for Jagz tells Nigerian Entertainment Today (NET).
Jesse Jagz is signed to Chocolate City Records and has released one album under the CC imprint. He is also well known for producing leading artistes such as Ice Prince, Timi Dakolo, Banky W, Modenine, Silva Saddih and Sasha.
