Ronald Fenty, father of pop star singer Rihanna says he thought he ‘was going to die’ when he was recently struck with the Dengue fever.
Ronald, a clothing salesman was hospitalised when his pop star daughter came visiting in the Barbados a few days ago. Dengue fever is a viral disease that kills around 25,000 people a year in tropical regions.
‘It was horrible. I thought I was going to die. I was actually in a hospital ward that Robyn’s friend worked in as a doctor. She offered me her BlackBerry to call Robyn. I called her and she was worried – she said, ‘Daddy, what’s wrong with you?’, a recuperating Ronald told The Sun.
Rihanna, real name Robyn Fenty, recently reconciled with her dad after an estranged relationship due to Ronald’s past drug addiction.
