The much talked about dance movie ‘I’ll Take My Chances’ is set to premiere on Saturday, September 24, 2011 in the City of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State as a host of Nollywood celebs will be gracing the event, organizers have announced.
The premiere will be dedicated to the memory of the late Sam Loco Efe (who starred in the movie) and will also feature a short documentary on him.
Event organizers also say the premiere will be attended by a host of Nollywood celebs such as Desmond Elliot, Monalisa Chinda, Uche Jombo, Jackie Appiah, Genevieve Nnaji ,the duo of Aki and Paw Paw as well as Patience Ozokwor and others personalities from the entertainment, politics and the banking sector. The event is supported by the Akwa Ibom State Government and who is celebrating the state’s anniversary
The event will be compeered by Basorge Tariah Jr. Also music acts Wande Coaland J Martins will be performing some of their hit songs.
I’ll Take My Chances was jointly produced by Ini Edo and Emem Isong and stars Ini Edo, Ex-Mr. Nigeria – Bryan Okwara, Jide Kosoko, Biola Williams, Lilian Ikpe, Ashleigh Clark and the late Nollywood veteran, Sam Loco Efe.
‘I had to work very hard to get into character because this is the first time I’m playing this kind of challenging role where virtually everything you do is dance and act at the same time. Aside that, as an executive producer, Emem and I did not leave any stone unturned. We gave it our all and I can confidently say, this is the biggest movie we’ve ever done in terms of budget, depth, and production inputs’, Ini Edo talks about her role in the movie.
The movie was directed by Desmond Elliot.
