Samuel Arase Efeimwonkiekie, popularly called Sam Loco Efe was laid to rest yesterday, October 21, in Benin City, Edo State after a funeral service at the Baptist Convention Ground, NTA Road, Benin City at 2. 00pm.
The state government at the service promised to name a street after him.
Prominent artistes, including the caste of the famous TV drama, Hotel De Jordan, which first brought late Sam Loco to limelight; Edo State Commissioner for Arts, Tourism and Culture, Aanena Jemitola; her Youths and Sports counterpart, Anita Evbwonmwan, and other top government officials graced the ceremony.
Others included Paul Obaseki, Alex Osifo, Ejike Asiegbu, Francis Duru, Fred Amata, his colleagues from Cameroun and representatives of Lagos, Abia and Anambra states.
He is survived by six children including Mrs. Sandra Ebun Leonardo, Bola Adesuwa Efe,Bismarck Nosa Efe, Julia Orobosa Omozusi,Precious Osariemen Efe and Omoruyi Efe.
